  1. Okay, first, you’re beautiful!

Second, I was shocked that you don’t have any kind of southern accent. I’ve always read you with an accent, so it took me by surprised that you were totally lacking one.

Third, loved your list! And how cool that you have a writer mom! I don’t think I knew that about you. My dad was the writer in my family, though my mom has kind of come into her own as a grandma and has written some really lovely pieces as gifts to us girls.

Loved the vlog. You should totally do this again.

    1. Aww, thanks! Blushing over here! Most people assume if one lives in the South that we all have Southern accents. Well, any traces of Southern come out when I’m angry or tired, but in reality, I have never had a Southern accent.

I think what has encouraged my writing life has been directly attributed to my mom. She modeled a writing lifestyle–lots of hard work!

    2. What an honor! (And I’m in very good company.)

Your encouragement means so much. As you know,it’s hard “putting yourself out there” in the blogging world every day, so knowing that others resonate with what you have to say can keep you going another day.

Keep up the great writing, friend!

      1. Thanks for stopping by the blog! As a fellow blogger/writer, I love promoting books and writers because we all need someone to tell us that we do something well. Besides, our moms šŸ™‚ Your blog encourages me to write more about my faith, be more vocal about what I believe. Here’s to good writing, reading, and encouraging!

  2. That was wonderful! I love it when you are in full education mode and talking about books and writing. Today I only wrote about my ultimate influence, but you hit on two of my favorite Victorians and the list is long from there. Oh, yes. There will be more to say on influential women writers.

      1. Aww, thanks! I not only did my hair, but even put make-up on! Vlogging is fun, but writing will still be my true love for the blog. Admittedly, this vlog took 22 takes before I was okay with posting it.
